Wadi Dogs

Welcome to our “Wadi Dogs” category, where we celebrate the remarkable and resilient dogs that inhabit the wadis (dry riverbeds) of desert regions. Wadi Dogs are Arabian Village Dogs from Oman. You can meet my two Wadis Panda and Chalkie here. Chalkie also features in our Deaf Dog content.

Wadi dogs, are in other parts of the Middle East also known as desert dogs. They have adapted to survive in harsh and arid environments, often forming close bonds with human communities.

In this category, we’ll explore the unique characteristics and behaviours of wadi dogs, their interactions with humans and other animals, and the challenges they face in their natural habitats. You can find also plenty of tips if you are thinking of adopting a Wadi | Street Dog and how to get them used to home life abroad. We often rehome these dogs to the UK (then chances are you have met me as I volunteer for MDA), the US and other parts of the world.

Join us as we discover the fascinating world of wadi dogs and celebrate their spirit of survival and companionship.
