Right… if you know me a bit or have seen my videos on my YouTube channel or maybe have enrolled in my Canine Enrichment course, then chances are you know I’m slightly obsessed with Canine Enrichment Dog Toys. One of my favourite brands is SodaPup and this article is all about the SodaPup Toys and their Range – with videos, so you can see what they look like in real life (yes, we own most of them). For more detailed product reviews of single products or categories I will try to link them for you where possible, otherwise please feel free to check out the review section on my Webpage and simply filter for the relevant tags you are interested in. If you order any of the toys directly from the SodaPup Webpage you can save $$ with Code BULLYCO – if you do, I’l earn a small commission.

SodaPup TREAT DISPENSER Dog Toys

Treat Dispenser Dog Toys are interactive dog toys or an easy level of a puzzle game for dogs where the dog has to move the toy around in order to make the food (treats or Kibble) fall out. You can also fill these toys with wet food or raw food to increase the challenge and the dog then licks the food out of the opening in the bottom.

Why Treat Dispenser Dog Toys?

Below is a lovely summary of the benefits of Treat Dispenser Dog Toys, straight from the Sodapup webpage.

The probably best known dog toy of this category is the Classic Kong Dog Toy – if you are looking for ‘direct’ alternatives, ie toys that have a similar opening and sizing, just from another brand, then check out this video I filmed: ‘Real’ Kong Alternatives | SodaPup Dog Toys (by clicking the link, you will be taken to my YouTube Channel).

What makes the SodaPup Treat Dispenser Dog Toys so interesting to me is – of course their cute looks – but also their variety. They come in different sizes and shapes and also with different ‘openings’ that make the challenge of getting the food out more difficult or easy.

Let’s move on to other types of Slow Feeders the SodaPup Brand offers.

SodaPup SLOW FEEDER Dog Bowls, Lick Mats & Plates

You can find all their Slow Feeders under the category of Enrichment Toys on their webpage here (Code BULLYCO for a Discount).

Below is a picture from the SodaPup Webpage about the Benefits of Slow feeders like Lick Mats and Slow Feeder Bowls.

Their most popular and most beautiful design are probably the SodaPup Mandala Plates. They come in one size and different colours and are so calming to prepare – like a good colouring book haha. Panda loooooooooves them!

SODAPUP SLOW FEEDER Dog Bowls & Plates

Another go to in our household is the SodaPup Honeycomb Design Slow Feeder – Panda gets her breakfast in this on a daily basis.

By now they created another design, which we haven’t tried yet ourselves but which looks like a lot of fun too. Their new Wave Design Slow Feeder.

SodaPup comes up with new designs all the time and I’m sure there will be more cute alternatives in the near future too. They also have a whole bunch of Lick Mats for dogs. If you are looking to get more information on Lick mats and are wondering whether you should get a SodaPup Lick Mat | Enrichment Mat or the traditional Lickimat, then have a look at this post: Lickimat vs Sodapup Lick Mats

Let’s move on and let’s talk about the SodaPup range of Retrieve, Chew and Reward Dog Toys.

SodaPup RETRIEVE, CHEW & REWARD Dog Toys

Before we dive into the video and see what the SodaPup Retrieve, Reward and Chew toys look like in real life, I’d quickly like to go over the different toy categories and why they can be useful. For the video, simply scroll down.

What are RETRIEVING Dog Toys and Why use them?

Retrieving toys are used every day with plenty of dogs. The game of fetch is super popular and using a ball or a frisbee can be a great way to have an interactive play session with your dog (human enrichment) and also build the bond with your dog by having some fun together. SodaPup offers three different categories of Retrieving toys – balls, frisbees and floating dog toys for all the water crazy dogs.

For an Overview of all the Different Types of Dog Toys, click here.

Balls – the Classical Retrieve Dog Toys

Balls – most dogs favourite! SodaPup offers a wide range of balls – classical balls but also bouncy balls and also different materials. Some do float, others are made for power chewers and more.

Below is a quick overview of the benefits of Ball Toys – directly from the SodaPup webpage. You can check out their ball range here.

Let’s talk Frisbees!

Frisbee Dog Toys – perfect Retrieve Toys for high Energy Dogs

Some dogs simply love a bit more action. You probably have seen a frisbee loving Border Collie or Malinois or maybe have a high-energy breed yourself. The SodaPup Frisbees fly straight and also far – so great for dogs who love to run and are made of rubber material that doesn’t hurt your dogs teeth and gums (as potentially would plastic ones). They are NOT chew toys but made of durable material and come in a black version for power chewers – not for chewing but for a tight grip when catching the frisbee!

Below you can see the benefits of Flyers – again, straight from the SodaPup webpage. You can access their Flyer range here.

Before we move on to Reward toys, let’s talk about the third category of Retrieve Dog Toys: the floating ones.

What are FLOATING Dog Toys and Why use them?

Floating Dog toys are toys that float on water – perfect for all our water loving dogs who fearlessly jump into water to retrieve their favourite toy. Non-floating toys can easily sink to the bottom of the lake when thrown and are often lost forever. What a disappointment. This is where floating dog toys come in handy by floating on the water and are easily visible and easy to grab for your dog. Swimming is also a great exercise for dogs, is easy on their joints (especially when compared to the pressure that is often put on the bones when chasing a ball repeatedly) and a great way to exercise your dog safely and to cool them down on warmer days. You can find the SodaPup Floating Dog Toy range here.

What are REWARD Dog Toys and Why use them?

Reward Dog Toys are toys you use as a reward – instead of food for example. If you have a high-energy dog who loves to run and play tug, then keeping them moving when recalling and engage them in a game of tug of war can be wary more rewarding than delivering a food reward.

The SodaPup reward toys are versatile and can also be used as treat-dispenser dog toys once the rope has gone. Their rope makes them super easy to throw too. Whilst this post is al a bout the SodaPup brand, I need to mention that if you have a dog who LOVES a gem of tug, then you might also like the Tug-E-Nuff dog toys, which are very different and come with real fur. You can find an overview of their toys here: Tug-E-Nuff Dog Toys – a complete overview (with Videos)

The SodaPup Reward Toys are great if you have a strong dog breed like a German Shepherd or a Bully Breed – some of them also come in the Black Version for Power Chewer.

Below is an overview – again from the SodaPup webpage – of the Benefits of Tug Toys.

What are CHEW Dog Toys and Why use them?

Dogs chew and often they chew stuff we are not too happy with – like our shoes or furniture. Chew Dog Toys are an alternative to natural edible chews to let the dog engage in the innate behaviour of chewing by redirecting their focus and the behaviour onto a toy that provides an appropriate outlet for chewing.

You can find the Benefits of Chewing here (again, from the Sodapup webpage).

This is an exempt from the SodaPup webpage

SodaPup’s chew toys are designed for the most aggressive chewers. Our rubber and nylon durable dog toys are designed with power chewer dogs in mind. And all of our products come with a 30 day replacement guarantee so if your dog is able to get the best of a toy, we’ll send you another one free of charge! Buy with confidence. Buy SodaPup.

From the Sodapup Website

If you have a real power chewer with a strong jaw, these toys will find their match in them. So a replacement guarantee is a really nice thing to have when you have a strong dog (Bully Breed etc). You can find their Chew Toys here.

SodaPup ‘Unstoppables” | Enrichment Prep

Ever wondered how to make enrichment toy prepping easier and mess-free? Then this one is for you! For a description, scroll down.

Sodapup Stoppers for Kong and Sodapup Dog Enrichment Toys

The SodaPup Unstoppables ARE NOT a chew toy but a tool that makes dog mom lives so much easier when stuffing and filling enrichment toys – especially when filling toys with moist ingredients that otherwise get spilled all over the table.

They come in a pack of 4 and, of course, with ridiculously cute design. You can put them into the small hole of your SodaPup dog toy (or a Kong! Fits both! And fits ALL SodaPup Dog Toys EXCEPT the XL CAN TOYS) and then simply turn the dog toy around, use the unstoppable as a stand and fill the dog toy drama free. You can also pop them in the freezer this way, so it the insights of your filling don’t spill out on your freezer and keep it mess free. REMOVE the Unstoppable BEFORE giving the toy to your dog!

I hope you liked this article and found it useful. I’d love to hear your feedback and how you like the SodaPup Dog Toys and which ones are your favourites.

PS SodaPup also offers Doggy Day Care Special: BOXES OF 20 COSMETIC SECONDS – a bulk buy option at a reduced price as the designs might have little flaws. They also offer smaller, discounted Bundles.
